Job Summary
The Machine Operator, under the direction of the Supervisor, will primarily be cutting, drilling, bending, swaging etc. (using machinery). This position will keep equipment and work area clean and orderly. Successful operators are energetic individuals, able to work in fast paced environment with high productivity and experience using overhead cranes, drill press, pipe bending equipment, saws, rollers and jigs an asset.

Job Duties
- Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
- Use a variety of equipment for: cutting, drilling, bending, swaging etc. to complete tasks as assigned and complete daily work assignments
- Ensure proper care of machinery and supplies including machine set up and troubleshooting.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Assist other workers when needed.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective and courteous manner with coworkers and supervisors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Energetic individuals, able to work in fast paced environment with high productivity.
- Experience overhead cranes, drill press, pipe bending equipment, saws, rollers and jigs an asset.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to safely operate various material handling tools and equipment.
- Able to read tape measure is a must (using imperial)
- Willingness to work extended hours of work as necessary to ensure deadlines and priorities are met, including overtime and weekends.
Work Conditions
- Standing for up to 10 hours per day
- Frequent movement (lifting (up to 60lbs), carrying, bending, turning and pulling)
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per company standards (safety glasses, gloves and steel-toed CSA certified boots)
Hours of Work
- Weekdays (4 shifts – 6:00am – 4:30pm). Subject to change based on business needs.
- Willingness to work extended hours of work as necessary to ensure deadlines and priorities are met, including overtime and weekends.
